I like romances that are comforting and gentle rather than whirlwind and dramatic. It doesn't have to be the focus of the book either. I typically avoid fantasy/magic/sci-fi (with an exception for dystopia). I like drama/YA/slice of life type of stuff, especially if there's a lot of complex emotions and characters involved – I just don't want the romance bits to be frustrating/toxic and I would like to avoid love triangles. I would like there to be a happy ending (no bittersweets or sad ones pls). Books for an 18+ audience are preferred!
