I just finished reading Viet Thanh Nguyen’s “The Committed”, and I was intrigued (and a little frightened) by [this photo](https://imgur.com/a/cmp98tn) he had featured in the book. I still haven’t found the photo’s source after many Google searches and carefully looking through the book’s acknowledgements. My only “lead” is Viet Thanh Nguyen mentioning certain people in his acknowledgements who helped him secure permission from the Union Générale des Vietnamiens de France to use the photo in his book. I really am curious as to what the story behind that photo is and would eventually like to learn more about the protests/rallies of the Vietnamese community in Paris.
Any help would go a long way! And perhaps help me sleep better since my curiosity’s been keeping me up!
