I’m looking for a book to give as a gift. The recipient is 40s/M. One of his favorite books is The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury, he also really liked the Magicians by Lev Grossman and all the Hunger Games. He’s an artist and art teacher too so bonus if there’s any hint of that! Thanks!

The leatherbound edition of mistborn
Senlin Ascends! Fantastic series with amazing world building and character work. The main character is a schoolteacher but classroom teaching doesn’t play a huge role in the story
