I really enjoyed this book and while I enjoyed the thriller / suspense aspects I actually found myself enjoying the "office" drama part the most. Its probably because there's a guy you just love to hate that ends up in charge of this Navy Seals unit. The unit is know for working so well together and he just makes their lives a nightmare and is the whole "my way or the highway" type vibe. He almost feels like more of a threat then the villian. Actually reminded me a lot of Dolores Umbridge from Harry Potter where you hate him more than the actual villains of the book.

But it was a lot of fun seeing the civilian intelligence officer figure out how to work around some of his junk while they try to perform important missions. I also really enjoyed her own personal story as she struggles with this extremely stressful situation while also struggling with infertility issues. But we also get to see her husband's perspective on this as well who is a Navy Seal in the same unit.

I also feel like the military stuff was very realistic and had some great suspenseful moments along with lighthearted funny moments. I also appreciate that it doesn't describe the violence in a too graphic manner.

If you've read this book what did you think?

If you haven't what do you think about books that seem to really mix genres? Because this feels like both a thriller and a drama at the same time to me.
