A post apocalyptic book to follow Nuclear War by Annie Jacobsen

I’ve just finished Nuclear War which – spoiler alert – involves massive nuclear destruction of North America, Europe and parts of Asia, leading to a nuclear winter in most parts of the globe apart from Australia, New Zealand and Argentina.

So… I’d now love to read something that depicts the struggle of the few humans remaining AFTER the nuclear war, ideally something fictional. I’ve already read The Road and Station Eleven, and I’ve started but yet to finish Metro 2033.
