Suggest me a book with creative worldbuilding where weird and messed up stuff happens to the main character

I read Orson Scott Card's "Treason" a couple years ago and I really enjoyed it! I especially enjoyed the aspects I listed in the title and how the main character works through all his issues and eventually turns it to his benefit, kind of. Anyways, I have been craving to read something like Treason, something in a strange and unique fantasy world. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
