I have noticed that the last couple video games that I have really liked had a plot point weaved in where the main character has to choose between two girls. Some examples like The Witcher 3 (Triss or Yennefer) or FF7 (Tifa or Aerith) come to mind. All of these games had really good stories but this particular sub plot made them even better in my opinion.
