There have been some newer studies (article name Ultraviolet Superradiance from Mega-Networks of Tryptophan in Biological Architectures) going toward affirming the quantum theory of consciousness (Penrose/Hameroff), are there any recent (last 6 yrs) books that talk about it substantially? I'm not saying we have consciousness figured out, but there have been some really interesting findings, and this theory has been very highly criticized for various different reasons in the past.
