Books you can’t put down

I’m looking for interesting, entertaining reads. I like a lot of genres, just as sci-fi, fiction (but not really fantasy, like dragons and knights and stuff, rather things that could be in our world or something), thriller, horror and some smut is fine with me if it’s not too much (Spice level doesn’t matter, I just don’t like books that only contain smut scenes or have one on every 2nd page). For reference I really liked Arrival by Ted Chiang, The secret history by Donna Tartt, Haunting Adeline by H.D Carlton, and The song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
