I recently discovered that some of my favorite works belong to this genre (I didn't even know it existed). Examples would be "Annihilation" by Jeff VanderMeer and the game "Control."
I read "Annihilation" just because I found the synopsis mysterious, and the book did not disappoint. It explored the theme of the unknown and its intrinsic fear very well (although the movie was not superior, it conveyed this vibe quite well). "Control" has a very similar atmosphere.
So, what other books could I read?
