I read this about 10 book ago and my feelings about it are still very intense.
I thought I knew how it would end up. I expected betrayal, but ultimately I thought it would have a Fingersmith-esque resolution.
Needless to say that the ending absolutely broke me and left me with a feeling of genuine heartbreak. I feel overwhelmed and at the same time I want to read something equally consuming.
