Always wanted to finally also look at the works of King, now it’s the time but I’m unsure.
I’m tending to start with either The Shining or Christine… what do you guys think?
Edit: I know he has a lot of genres, lets start with a good scare.

~~Four~~ __Different__ Seasons. Shorter reads; and some of his best. Includes The Body (Stand by Me) and Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption (The Shawshank Redemption)
Edit: Different Seasons, not the famous landscaping company
If you want scary the Shining is great.
Of the two, Shining. Really the place to start is Misery.
The Long Walk is one of my favorites and the first one he even wrote (Carrie was published first, but Tue Long Walk was written prior). So I’d. Insider trading that one.
Between Christine and The Shining, I guess I’d choose The Shining first. Both are good though.
Pet Sematary is usually my recommended King starter.
The Shining is great if you want scary. IT is my favorite but it’s SO long so a shorter pick is probably better to start with.
‘Salem’s Lot is a good place to start.
Just in case anyone mentions it, if you get into Dark Tower, just know that no matter what anyone says, you DON’T need to have read anything related to enjoy it. King even lampshades it in the last one.
The Tommyknockers is pretty scary. Or Salem’s lot. Pet Sematary. The dead zone. IT scared the crap out of me.
Misery! Or Dolores Claiborne! Both so amazing, intriguing, and un put downable
