I've been watching twin peaks recently and although I'm only on episode 7, I'm in love. I'm wanting preferably a horror/crime/thriller book set in a small American town, where something is off about it and it gets progressively weirder throughout. I know it's pretty specific but I guess that's what the subreddits for lol

The Alan Wake video game is inspired by Twin Peaks (among others), and IIRC, the novelization by Rick Burroughs is pretty good.
Alan Wake is more “out there” than at least the first season of TP, though.
