I’m fond of expansive, world building stuff, but not necessarily into “hardcore fantasy”. For example, I don’t gel well with Brandon Sanderson’s stuff.
Effectively I watch too much TV and don’t read enough. Spent years being quite into Star Wars but have come to realise I actively dislike at least half of its content. Then tried to find something else to “fill that void” but realised it’d have to be either novels or anime, as I’ve watched most films and tv already, and nothing does it for me.
So my question is what’s the best fandom novels to get into?
Heard Percy Jackson is decent, but ideally something a bit more mature if possible.
I’m a big fan of one primary immersive setting as it helps me get immersed in it; such as Hogwarts in Harry Potter when I was younger, but it’s not essential.
I read The Books of Babel Series not long ago… that was really good.
