What are some really engaging adventure book that someone can recommend me?

I’m pretty new to the entertainment section of books. I’m into adventure,(doesn’t have to be violent) action, history, detective like, military, agent, medieval, survival, some scifi, biographies, new discoveries,a little comedy, movies/shows. I’m trying to see if I can replace movies and shows with reading. Looking for a book that doesn’t take long to get interesting.
