I only recently discovered that if you have a Spotify account you can listen to something like 15 hours of audiobooks for free per month. It’s not a great deal compared to audible but the availability is so much better than Libby (in my area anyway) and I had a Spotify sub anyway.
The only problem I’m having is that sometimes if I stop listening mid chapter sometimes it takes me straight to the next chapter next time I press play and I don’t always notice because I don’t remember where I was up to last time I was listening. I’ve looked back and seen multiple chapters have only been played halfway through!
What’s your experience been with Spotify audiobooks? Do you think it’s a good thing or should they just stick with music and podcasts?

I’ve just discovered them myself and finished my first one last week. I don’t have Audible and Spotify just feels more available to me anyway as I use it for podcasts and music. I haven’t noticed what you said about the chapters though and could pause them partway through, returning to the same part. Maybe it’s a setting somewhere? My only frustration is that you have to go to the homepage of the audiobook to see how long you have left overall as it breaks them down into overall chapters. You also can’t see how much you’ve listened to in terms of actual minutes/hours. It’s not a massive deal, just a bit annoying.
