I know High Fantasy is a BROAD term. I’ve not read much at all but I love Tolkien. I want to read some newer high fantasy but don’t know which one really catches my eye. I’d love something with magic, kings/queens, etc. I love world building too. I was interested in Mistborn, Kingkiller Chronicles, and I want to try The Once and Future King as well. I’m just not sure if I want to invest in like a 10 book series, with 15 short stories and 8 tie in books from other authors lol.
Just curious, if you had to recommend only one book (or series) which would you recommend?

Riftwar Saga, by Raymond Feist
I would recommend the Stormlight Archives, from the same author as Mistborn haha.
But if the size of that series is too much, I have been really enjoying The Bloodsworn Saga from John Gwynne, first book is called Shadow of the Gods.
