Damn the first 4-500 pages were a SLOG. I struggled to stay engaged with the constant character changes and the affluent/drawing-room style sci-fi drama. Alas, the fast-paced ending saved the book for me…that being said I don't think I can conquer another bulky slow-paced expanse of a sci-fi novel.
How are the sequels? Should I avoid or dive in?
