I am looking for either fantasy or thriller books that have an engaging plot, but the language and the way it is written is simple enough for somebody who is not an english native speaker. Preferably standalones.
I think most ‘popcorn’ thrillers would be a good choice, they tend to have fun and easy to follow plots and simple language. Any of Frieda McFadden, Lucy Foley, Alice Feeney, or Greer Hendricks’ books are probably fairly good bets.
