Not a book post but I'm looking for recommendations on writers who have a really cool aura about them. You know, those authors who exude passion and charisma, making their presence and work stand out. For example, George R.R. Martin has this amazing laugh and a captivating way of speaking that really brings his stories to life. You can just tell he loves what he does.
On the flip side, while Stephen King is incredibly talented, he seems more like he's clocking in for a job when he writes. I'm not knocking his work, but I'm looking for those writers who just ooze coolness and passion. Ofc he loves his work but you get it what I mean. The one with personality resonating with the books. It can even be philosophers (Kafka is one), poet, novelist.etc matching the books they wrote and lives they lived.
Feel free to include classic writers too. Who do you think has the coolest aura in the literary world, past or present?
