Can you think of any books that document an obsession with a particular animal or species? The more “obsessed” the better.
Two examples that come to mind are:
Moby Dick by Herman Melville (obsession with whales)
H is for Hawk by Helen MacDonald (mild obsession with hawks. Although inot as intense as Moby Dick, the animal is a crutch for the grieving process)
