When I think about my favorite books, they all have some version of the following:
- Super intelligent or talented main character that exceeds in everything they do, sent into seemingly impossible situations
- Smart inner monologue, I love when authors describe how the characters think
- Evil or dystopian regimes that have secrets for the main character to uncover. Bonus points for class warfare
- Easy to read. While I can put up with complex world building and hard sci fi my favorite books tend to be fast paced and fun, full of action and twists
Some perfect examples of this are the Red Rising series, Enders game series, The Will if the Many, and Dune. Any recommendations that tick these boxes?
