I just finished "Wisconsin Death Trip" by Michael Lesy and I want to find more like it. I briefly searched the web for books on records of crime, mortalities, insanities and other unfortunate situations taking place in 19-20th century rural America but I haven't had much luck.
If there's anything like what I'm looking for please let me know!
