Hi there
Struggling recently to find a book I really LOVE! I love books that have a dark theme, love black humour, like supernatural things but not fantasy (dragons etc). I love books with female leads, about women but not romance (so not Marian Keyes type books). I like true stories too – nonfiction, narrative nonfiction, based on a true story etc.
My favourite book is Let The Right One In. Some other books I’ve loved:
World War Z – Max Brooks
Perfume – Patrick Süskind
Killers of the Flower Moon – David Grann
George Saunders short stories
Capote’s Women – Laurence Leamer
Under the Skin – Michel Faber
Never Let Me Go – Kazuo Ishiguro
David Sedaris stories
The Terror – Dan Simmons
Currently reading I Am Legend and recently finished Julia by Sandra Newman, Woman Eating by Claire Kohda and I’m a Fan by Sheena Patel, all of which I enjoyed. Started Anxious People by Fredrik Backman to try to find something funny but did not like it, found it predictable and clumsy.
