I remember as a kid going to the library and picking out just completely random books. Maybe the cover looked interesting or it had a fun title or I saw there were 30 books in a series and figured I could live in that world for a while. Lately I feel like I narrow books down to exactly what I want and then feel annoyed when the book is predicable. So what books do you always want to recommend but never seem to quite fit the ask? Hidden gems? Overhyped but you still loved it?
I currently mostly read fantasy, romantasy, and Agatha Christie. I'm in my late twenties so keep that in mind if recommending ya/middlegrade fiction.
