I just finished We Used To Live Here and I don’t remember the last time I read a book that quickly. It had me from the beginning because it begins with the action that is central to the plot – no lead up to it. I’ve realized that I lose attention easily if a book is slow.

Any recs appreciated for fiction books that begin quickly. Preference on books that are not true crime and police/investigation centric.

    1. The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. The first few pages and you’re in for the entire book. Love the way this book just took over from chapter one. No waiting around for it to get going.
