I gotta go to a hostel and I won’t be having a phone w me. I want to at least start reading books again. A book which has a lot of fucking pages to keep me engaged for a large amount of time. I’m talking huge chonkers. My preferred genres are – thrillers, fantasy, sci-fi, could be self help too(If it is self help no need for a big book) or horror too.
P.S If it is not a big book, it is still okay to tell your pick

[*11/22/63*](https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004Q7CIFI/) by Stephen King at just under 900 pages.
Not a long one but *A Clockwork Orange* fits all of your genres and it’s got its own language so it’s not something you can breeze through. Not sure if you’ve seen the movie but I enjoyed it even after having watched the movie
[*The Count of Monte Cristo*](https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0CFWHPJTN/) by Alexandre Dumas at just over 800 pages.
A few popular options that aren’t the tippy-top recommendations for their respective genres (except maybe the horror picks; they get recommended a lot)
Fantasy: The Last Unicorn
Sci-fi: Spin, Hyperion
Horror: The Haunting of Hill House, The Fisherman
Shogun by James Clavell. It’s undeniably thrilling, nonstop action, over 1000 pages, and if you need more there are at least six more related novels in the series.
A more light hearted, but lengthly(800-1200 pages depending on format) pick is Don Quixote. It’s so good that it’s still popular hundreds of years after it was written. It’s easy to understand and not too demanding, but still meaty enough to be satisfying. It’s surprisingly relatable. The Edith Grossman translation is great, but older translations might be harder for a modern reader.
