I’m on page 204 of this book and it’s up there with some of my favourites like Cannery Row by John Steinbeck, and Heart of Darkness and The End of the Tether by Joseph Conrad. It’s sarcastic quips and insights into being a Vietnam War Helicopter pilot and the life of sleeplessness, confusion and getting by are so delightful to read, especially coming from the very dark and atmospheric descriptive stuff I was reading from Joseph Conrad (Youth, Heart of Darkness, The End of the Tether).
I was wondering there’s any other books such as Chickenhawks I can sink my teeth in?
