Hey everyone!
I had a conversation with my folks today about my first job and my first paycheck. They told me things that I was surprised and mostly disappointed to know, like taxes, expenses and other deductions that really emphasized my ignorance about money and how finances work. For context, I’m 16 making 11 dollars an hour. I get payed biweekly.
I don’t want to be dragged down and let the money control me and what I can do. Instead, I want to control my money and be smart with it. I believe books are a great start in gaining knowledge, but there’s quite a bit to choose from.
Do you have any suggestions for me? I’m hoping for a title that teaches you about budgeting, being financially literate, finical independent, insurance, investment, and generally having more money than everyone else. Thank you!
