This is take two of this post as I'm still collecting suggestions to stock up on:

I have been mostly avoiding short story collections for as long as I can remember. Until recently, when I found out that despite me not loving every single story in the collection, it's a good way to sample works by authors I wouldn't have thought about trying before.

So, I'm wondering if anyone has collections they'd like to recommend. Any and all genres are welcome, seeing that I'm hoping to use this to break out of comfort zone.

The two I read recently were:

    • The Djinn Falls in Love & Other Stories by Jared Shurin and Mahvesh Murad
    • Unnatural Creatures: Stories Selected by Neil Gaiman

Suggestions I got so far (from reddit and offline):

    • The Grimoire of Grave Fates by Hanna Alkaf and Margaret Owen: Appears to be a collection of several POVs written by different authors in a school for young magicians (offline suggestion)
    • Dubliners by James Joyce (thanks to Lurker8984)
    • The Cossacks and other stories by Tolstoy (thanks to Lurker8984)
    • HG Wells stories (thanks to Lurker8984)
    • Tales of Mystery and Imagination by Edgar Allan Poe (thanks to Lurker8984)

I'll list all suggestions here if I can (but can't link to user to avoid being flagged for including links). Thank you so much in advance!
