I love Agatha Christie and I love that style of book but finding modern whodunnits is really hard. I don’t get why they seem to be so thin on the ground when shows and movies like Only Murders in the Building and the knives out movies are so popular. I don’t mean psychological thrillers where you can’t tell if your reading a mystery or a thriller but a real Poirot, Marple, Benoit Blanc character putting an intricate (yet obvious in the end) puzzle together.
I’ve read the Inheritance Games already, and I did really like them but YA isn’t really my genre of choice.
I’ve also found Keigo Higashino who writes AMAZING whodunnits in Japan but not all of the translations have made it across the pond yet so I need something else to hold me over till they do.
Can anyone solve THIS mystery for me?

I agree, I would like to see more of these too. Have you tried Tana French’s Dublin Murder Squad series? Or maybe Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz?
Have you tried [Thursday Detective Club](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/46000520-the-thursday-murder-club)?
What about Donna Leon?
