Please read… i’ve made a page of underrated books on here that i’ve seen recommended that I have never heard of. I’ll share it in the comments, but I would love MORE suggestions to put in it. Pleasee comment away!!!
The Barrister and the Letter of Marque by Todd M. Johnson
The Lion by Joseph Kessel
The Maze in the Heart of the Castle by Dorothy Gilman
Night Crossing by Jurgen Petschull
The Raft by Robert Trumbull
Sweet Bean Paste by Durian Sukegawa

The Death and Life of the Great Lakes by Dan Egan.
Sounds like a book your dad or grandpa would read, and it is, but it’s just fascinating.
Lots of people will gloss right over it based on the title and content, but if you’re at all interested in history, nature, or repeated examples of doing bad things with good intentions, you’ll enjoy this book.

I would suggest “Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds by Charles Mackay. First published in 1841 and still in print. It might change the way you think.
