Ok I see so many people who love the ACOTAR series and I just can't even bring myself to read it. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like a like triangle with options bad and worse. Like something in me just can't even pick it up like I feel as if I touch it I will be incinerated (joking)
If anyone is doing flips over their heels about how much they love the series please feel free to try and make me pick it up. This is truly the only series/book that I just don't wanna give a try but…at the same time I do wanna try it; I don't know if that makes sense.
But as it currently stands, put a dagger to my throat and make me choose to read ACOTAR or get to know the sharp end of a dagger…I choose the pointy one.

I tried to read years ago and couldn’t even get to my usual benchmark “50 words and I can quit”. I think I got twenty pages in and quit
Ok then don’t read it. I’m not sure why you desire to be convinced to read a book that you clearly won’t enjoy. If you want to read it just to roast it, then go do that.
People should just be honest with themselves about enjoying smut. No one is judging you.
Are you needing permission to read it?
Go ahead, internet stranger, read the pages, read the books.
If you start it and you hate it? Guess what, just put it down, and dnf that thing. Permission granted for that too.
My partner loves it, and so I’m reading it without telling her so I can drop some knowledge out of the blue.
It’s not great but it’s not terrible. It’s good for background while I’m cleaning (on audible)
Do yourself a favor and don’t. The first one had a mildly interesting premise and world building and who doesn’t enjoy a little faery smut every now and again? But I cannot express how much of an absolutely rapid descent into absolute boredom and trash the rest of the books (I only made it through 3) were. If you don’t mind a more YA level and less sex scene approach Tithe by Holly Black felt similar and was better written in my opinion.
