Context: Recently, I've realized that my thinking about love and sex is quite schizophrenic. Almost all the starting material I use to think about sex comes from porn. Almost all the starting material I use to think about love involves characters who are really under-sexualized – meaning that either sexuality and lust enters very little into the depiction of their love, or what little appears is completely cloaked in metaphors.
Anyway, this means that although I want a relationship with one and the same person which has both the close emotional connection of love and a sexual connection, I have no idea what that looks like. Could people recommend books that touch on these themes and the connection between them? I am okay with both fictional and non-fictional titles. Thank you.
