I want books Either from the villain's POV or where villainy actually pays/is the way to be.

I am fascinated by the seedy, evil parts of the human psyche…
And I don't always think, that the "hero should get the girl"… For various reasons…
    (In media)

Is there books that show the world from the bad guys pov?
    Or
Books that make you feel bad for/root for/see things his way?

    Can be social commentary.
Can be as grim/splatterpunk/extreme horror as you want.

Does not even have to have a Happy ending…

I just wanna switch lenses for a while and be immersed in dark/fractured minds and depravity done well.

Anythings goes, ad long as its a good reading experience.

    1. Wicked by Gregory Maguire might work for you. It’s the story of a woman who’s had a hard life and tried her hardest despite the circumstances, and somehow ends up known the world over as the wicked witch of the west. The musical doesn’t cover the majority of the book, so even if you’ve seen it, you’ll have a lot more to sink your teeth into.

“American Psycho” by Bret Easton Ellis comes to mind, “The Talented Mr. Ripley” by Patricia Highsmith, and “Lolita” by Vladimir Nabokov

    3. Grendel by John Gardner. It’s written so well (imo) that it makes you start to understand the character and his reasons for doing what he does.
