A couple of months ago, I started reading the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas, and I have to admit, I got a bit bored with it, so I decided to put it on hold. But now, I’m wondering if I might have given up too soon. Can anyone here share their thoughts and experiences with the series and let me know if it’s worth giving it another shot?
I’ve heard so much hype around this series, and I really want to love it, but the beginning just didn’t hook me as much as I’d hoped. Does the story pick up the pace or improve in later books? Are there exciting twists and character developments that make it more engaging as it goes on?
I’d love to hear your opinions and recommendations. Your insights could be the motivation I need to dive back into this series and discover what all the fuss is about! Thanks in advance for your input. 📚😊

I hope people who’ve read respond. I have her on TBR.
Yesss! Honestly just stick with it! I almost stopped reading too but once you get to later books it’s all worth it and the slow build up really pays off. It’s now one of my fav series, if not my #1, even though I really struggled with the first book!
It’s a solid read, but the start is a bit slow. I can’t wax poetically about it being a favorite, because it isn’t, but it was still well worth the time spent reading it.
Yes TOG was her first series and it shows, as the series progresses her writing improves significantly. The audiobook narrator does a good job so that could be an option, I did a mix cause that’s what I tend to do for long series and enjoyed it. I also recommend the tandem read for Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn
