Hi, I am looking for a book for myself, my husband, and our 14 year old niece to read out loud together. She’s picky, but here’s some criteria:
1. Nothing set in “olden days” eg before 1980s
2. Nothing fantasy, magical, or mythical. Dystopian is really a toss up but best to steer clear.
3. An element of mystery to keep us making progress
4. PG-13 or milder content, especially limit sexual content.
We just finished “Listen to the Lie”. She liked the mystery and style. My husband and I found the writing rouggggggh (no offense). We would love something well-written that we might all enjoy!
