Realisric Military + Zombie book

Hi, I've always been more of a movie or game person, and as such I've never delved into books very much. I read World War Z by Max Brooks and found it interesting in parts, but I found it quite uninteresting mostly.

Are there any good military + Zombie books that have realistic military protocols and looks like someone who actually knows how the military works wrote it? I've seen a fair few stories in this topic, but it's the same regurgitated civilian mindset on military clichés and gets boring quickly.
