Obviously any suggestions will spoil the plot a little bit, but I want to be surprised by how the antagonist or villain gets what they deserve. I just finished reading Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet and I absolutely loved the history and (most of) the characters, but William wielding his power to subjugate and brutalize those around him for decades without consequence, only to be hanged in the end for a failed coup left me feeling deflated and bitter. What books have you read that had you leaping into the air with glee after the antagonist is foiled?
