I just finished one of us by Åsne Seierstad, a very good but heartbreaking book. (About Anders Behring Breivik and his attack in Oslo and Utøya).
I was going through my bookcase to find a 'mood resetter', a lighthearted book with a more positive outlook. Turns out, I do not really have funny books. I want to expand my library with as much variation in genres as I can.

Suggest me the best comedy/funny books or authors 🙂

Ps: for now I settled on reading Sonny Boy by Annejet van der Zijl, a book about an interracial Dutch/Surinamese couple who are helping jews during WW2, so not exactly the lighthearted read I was going for lol.

Christopher Moore has many funny books. {{ Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ’s Childhood Pal }} and the Fool series ( {{ Fool }}, {{ The Serpent of Venice }}, and {{ Shakespeare for Squirrels }} ) are some of my favorites.

    2. Anxious people by Fredrik Backman was really funny to me. And it had an interesting plot. Also let’s explore diabetes with owls by David sedaris was really funny

Good omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett is very funny.

Agent to the stars by John Scalzi is also great for laughs.

IN A SUNBURNED COUNTRY by Bill Bryson is so funny. Its a travel book about Australia but its really a stand up set by a master.

      My Uncle Oswald.

The only “adult fiction” novel by Roald Dahl.

      It is absolute hysterics.

I have cried tears reading for the 3rd or 4th time while on the subway and had strangers asking me what book was so funny.
