I just finished a pretty long book series and want to take a break from books that are a part of a series. I'm really looking for a book that has the feel of something like the show Dark or the game Alan Wake/Alan Wake 2 if you are familiar with any of those. These are both shows with a core mystery that go about understanding them in very unique ways. I love stories that get more and more complex the deeper you get into them and want something along those lines.
Any recommendations are appreciated!
