With fall approaching I am hoping to find a good fall thriller with heavy witch vibes… something more dark and creepy. If anyone has any good suggestions please let me know!
How much do you want full fantasy supernatural themes? There are some books that come to mind but ghosts, travel to other worlds, or travel to other planes are involved. I’m keeping it vague to avoid unintentional spoilers. YMMV if these are ‘Thrillers” by your measure.
– Top of the list could well be Lovecraft Country. A black family gets embroiled in the machinations of a white sorceror who’s ancestors once owned one of theirs.
– I’d also consider Ninth House. What if the secret societies at Yale are actually magical organisations? What if there’s an organisation that tries to monitor the activities of said societies? What if the newest monitoring recruit can see ghosts?
If there’s a particular title that fits your ideal for a witchy thriller, please share it.

I really enjoyed the Harper Connolly series by Charlaine Harris. Maybe not truly witchy but it’s about a young woman who can sense dead bodies.
