I recently encountered a male honeypot character (in Mass Effect: Ascension) and wondered if there were more examples?
I'm not counting characters like James Bond who can optionally use seduction as part of his action hero work, I mean male characters who exist primarily to distract or extract information by using sex appeal.
The example character is specifically youthful (25 but appears younger, his 40 y/o target chides herself for being a "cradle robber"), handsome, and fit ("fine ass") – the usual qualities of attractive female characters. In his role, he's a doctor with an easy-going, cheeky personality and he's well-liked by the children in his care; he's not a secretly kinky alpha male, there are no skimpy/tight costumes, and no descriptions of bulges, rolled sleeves, etc. The relationship is not a complete role reversal – he initiates as part of his honey trap role but also as typically expected of men in hetero relationships.
I thought he was interesting and refreshing, and probably rare enough that I'd be happy with suggestions of similar characters from any genre. Thanks!
