I'd love to read books that include characters who are neurodivergent but don't make this a major theme of the book. I'm so tired of those "quirky character" books that portray neurodivergent people as either weirdoes, antisocial, geniuses, cutesy and kooky, or victims of bullying. Books like Elinor Oliphant, The Maid, and all those Fredrik Backman books can get back on the bookshelf as far as I'm concerned.

Some of us are just getting on with our lives, using coping strategies to manage our difficulties, and it'd be nice to read about people like that, who have all sorts of things going on in their lives just like anyone does, and a personality beyond just being neurodivergent.
