Health industry exposé that isn’t a conspiracy theory

I am in the medical field and hoping to go to medical school. I want to learn more about big pharmaceutical companies, health insurance companies, and the general influence of capitalism on the health industry. I don't want to read something like RFK Jr's book though as I do not trust him as a reliable narrator considering his publication scandals and noted bias on the topic. I am hoping for a more sociological or research or even medical/physician oriented perspective on the industry and its faults and what we can do to make it better.
