Recently, I finished Donna Tartt's The Secret History and loved it. Not sure if it simply resonated with me or if I just enjoyed reading it, but the aesthetics and especially the writing did something for me. Similarly, I loved Camus' The Stranger. Both of these have something that connect in my mind (descriptions, maybe. Very """neutral"" main characters??) and I've been looking for something more but can't find much.
Not necessarily looking strictly for a dark academia vibe. Perhaps something similar to writing styles??? idk
