Suggest me a thriller/ crime mystery that’s neither YA nor too graphic

Hi, I‘m looking for a fast paced thriller/ crime mystery that’s a bit more complex but also not too graphic about violence. I‘d also appreciate if it’s not too long and if part of a series not ending on a cliffhanger. Thank you 🙂
