I wanted to read a classic science fiction novel so I tried reading Stranger in a Strange Land. I had to stop halfway through because it was so juvenile. I found Jubal obnoxious, and every scenario that played out seemed like it was straight from an eight-year-old boy’s imagination, while all the descriptions were painfully pedantic. I think I put the book down after reading the fifth paragraph about seating arrangements at a press conference.
