so, i wondered if there are any notable writers or writers that you simply enjoy whose writing career isn't really their primary one.
the only one that comes to my mind is hank green who is known for other things but has written some fun scifi. his brother is a writer but also does other stuff too, i think.
i'm curious about the writers of any genre, but mostly fantasy and scifi, i guess. i assume a lot of non-traditional, self-publishing or web writers would probably need another source of income. i remember looking up some fantasy writer who did web development as a job, can't remember her name though.
