My nephew is just short of 9 years old and loves the Wings of Fire graphic novels. The new one doesn't come out until December and I want to try to get him something new to tide him over until then.
He is both a typical and atypical kid. He's really, really into dinosaurs but more interested in the scientific facts surrounding them and how they all died. He was also a big fan of the Who Would Win series of books. The last time I spent time with him one-on-one (I live in a different state) it was split between him reciting dinosaur facts, us debating theories on how dinosaurs became extinct, kicking a soccer ball and then watching the Most Dangerous Animals on Netflix. He is not into video games/Roblox like so many of his peers.
He is definitely ahead of the game when it comes to reading level, so no real concerns there. What graphic novel would you suggest to potentially capture his interest?
